- Audiologist and Hearing Instrument Specialist
Description
In this role, you’ll conduct hearing evaluations, fit and dispense hearing aids, provide ongoing care, and support patients throughout their hearing journey. You’ll help connect patients with solutions tailored to their lifestyle—supporting our mission of enhancing lives through accessible, personalized hearing healthcare.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations: visual ear exams, pressure tests, tone tests, speech audiometry, and generate audiograms
Recommend appropriate hearing aid styles and technologies based on patient history, lifestyle, and communication goals
Present a range of hearing aid options—from basic to AI-powered Bluetooth-enabled devices with wellness tracking
Perform live or demo fittings when possible and manage 60-day trial periods
Provide ongoing care, including cleanings, adjustments, in-house repairs, and manufacturer coordination when needed
Maintain detailed, accurate patient records and documentation of fittings, counseling, and follow-ups
Travel between clinics across Northern Minnesota and Northwest Wisconsin to serve patients closer to home
Stay current with hearing aid technologies, best practices, and industry developments
Qualifications
Active Minnesota Hearing Instrument Specialist license (required)
Wisconsin HIS licensure or willingness to obtain it (strongly preferred for cross-state outreach)
3–5 years of experience fitting and dispensing hearing aids preferred
Experience with major hearing aid brands: Starkey, Phonak, Oticon, ReSound, Signia, etc.
Proficiency with digital programming software and electronic medical records (EMR)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; patient-centered approach
Willingness to travel to satellite clinics and rural communities
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized
