As a Hearing Aid Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting patients throughout their hearing care journey. You’ll work closely alongside our audiologists to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience. The Hearing Instrument Specialist is responsible for the identification and rehabilitation of hearing impairment including determining the appropriateness and benefit of amplification. Locations: Florham Park, NJ & Fair Lawn, NJ Schedule: Full-Time Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What You’ll Do Conduct hearing screenings and assist in identifying hearing impairments Recommend, fit, program, and adjust hearing aid devices based on patient needs Educate patients on hearing aid use, care, maintenance, and features Troubleshoot hearing aid devices and perform minor repairs when needed Support ongoing patient care through follow-up appointments and hearing aid adjustments Maintain accurate and organized patient documentation Collaborate closely with audiologists and clinical staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes Stay informed on the latest hearing aid technology and industry advancements Promote a welcoming, efficient, and positive patient experience
Required Qualifications Active State Hearing Aid Specialist License (REQUIRED) High School Diploma or GED Previous hearing aid dispensing and patient care experience preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Experience with hearing aid software, diagnostic equipment, and electronic medical records Ability to build trust and establish positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements Dexterity to handle small hearing aid components and equipment Ability to move equipment and supplies as needed Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
